Pricing

Prices in Swiss francs

Every service has a starting price in Swiss francs, listed below, plus any VAT that applies, which each quote spells out. Your project gets a written quote with a fixed price and a list of what it covers before you pay anything. Translation is never included, because we do not translate.

What changes a price

The starting points assume a standard content system and the page counts and number of languages listed in the table. These things move a quote up or down:

  • Number of languages and their scope. A full third language adds more than a one-page summary.
  • Platform. Custom systems and heavily customised themes take longer to inspect and change.
  • Number of templates. A site with many distinct page types needs more design and testing.
  • Right-to-left languages. Mirroring an existing stylesheet varies with how it was written.
  • Shops and forms. Checkout steps, emails and invoices multiply the text and the testing.

What is never included

  • Translation. Your translators, agency or bilingual staff provide the text and price it themselves. Our project planner gives the word volume they will ask about.
  • Plugin and software licences. Paid directly by you to the supplier.
  • Hosting and domains. Arranged and paid by you.
  • Legal advice. Where rules on prices, data protection or e-commerce shape the work, we flag questions for your adviser.

How quoting works

  1. You describe the project by email or through the contact form. The first reply is free, carries no obligation and tells you whether we could help.
  2. We send a written quote with a fixed price, the deliverables, and what is excluded.
  3. Work starts after you accept the quote and pay a deposit of 30 percent.
  4. If the scope changes during the project, the change and its price are agreed in writing before the extra work starts.
  5. The balance is invoiced on handover and is payable within 30 days.

VAT

The figures above exclude VAT. Each quote states whether VAT is added and at what rate, because that turns on our registration and on where your organisation is based. For reference, the Federal Tax Administration gives the Swiss normal rate as 8.1 percent 1.

Paying in other currencies

Quotes and invoices are issued in Swiss francs (CHF). A quote in euros (EUR) is possible for a project outside Switzerland; mention it in your first message.

Why we publish prices

Starting prices help you judge before writing to us whether a service fits your budget. They are starting points, not offers: the written quote is the price that applies to your project.
